🔭 CPWI Auto Aligner WIP

C# / .NETASCOMASTAPWinForms

What is it?

A Windows desktop application that automates the polar/star alignment process for Celestron telescopes that use the CPWI (Celestron PWI) mount control software. Normally, aligning a computerised telescope mount involves manually slewing to several bright stars, centering each one in the eyepiece, and confirming each — a process that takes 15–30 minutes every session.

This tool replaces all of that with a single button press: it slews the mount, takes an image with the attached camera, plate-solves with ASTAP to determine exact pointing, syncs the mount, and moves to the next star automatically.
